Wow, the weekend just flew by! There were lots of wonderful people to talk to, both alive and dead, and some charming pets, too.
So you’all want to know how it went with the name dropping? I went from 10% correct which is my estimated historical average, to getting names correct 50% of the time!
That is a HUGE jump in skill level in a very short period of time. Now, full disclosure, I’m counting the “sounds like” names as hits, so if I heard “Jason” and the correct name was “Nathan” I’m counting it as a hit. If I got “Charlotte” and the correct name was “Norah”, that’s totally off.
What was utterly delightful was the number of names I got absolutely correct, which was for 40% of the readings I did, I got one or several names totally right. The funny detail is that all of the names that were perfectly correct started with “J”. The J sound seems to come through easily.
I’d say it was a complete success, and proof that my birthday gift is in operation, it’s just requiring some practice, like any new skill. Soon, like riding a bike, I’ll be able to do it without even thinking about it. In fact, once I stop thinking about it, my accuracy will likely jump again.
Thank you to everyone who participated in this amazing, milestone weekend! I am so grateful!!!
Congrats on your success!
