Awesomeness and Business

I’ve been awesomely busy this week, but it means a few of you may feel like you’re left in a lurch. Right now I have six folks waiting for me to get back to them about reading appointments, and even more folks awaiting replies to comments and emails.

It is all good!

What’s great is that I’m feeling very healthy, which is fantastic. My physical mobility is returning after an 8 – week stint of rehab. I’m sleeping better, my diet’s better – it’s all very good.

Here’s something that I’m going to change in how I approach booking appointments: I’m going to switch to working list rather than book appointments for six to eight weeks in advance. When I had to postpone a few people’s appointments after they’d been waiting and looking forward to it for two months, I felt SO BAD! And I realized that when I book appointments for that far in the future, I create this energetic feeling of obligation or debt that is draining. It was also difficult to rebook those appointments because I had to displace other people, or else push myself to catch up which wouldn’t have helped the stress / health situation.

So here’s how it’s going to work. When you email me for a reading, I’ll get back to you in a few days, and I’ll confirm you’re on The List. It will probably be four to six weeks before I email you again to book an appointment – but that appointment will happen in the next week or two.

This is great because rather than asking clients to fit themselves to a very narrow window of “I have a spot on this day and time,” I can focus on one person at a time. Everyone will get this focused attention, and it’ll allow me some more flexibility in my schedule so that if I’m feeling run down at the end of the week – I won’t be booking appointments that weekend. This way I can make sure that no one falls through the cracks because once you’re on the list, you’re in line for an appointment. Sound good?
