You know how you keep running into barriers when you’re trying to do something you think you want, and when you suddenly wake up and realize those barriers were just herding you in a new direction?

Well, that’s our life. I’m thrilled and relieved to suddenly understand what the hell this was all about, and I’m a little embarrassed that it took us so long to figure it out! I guess we needed the experiences of the past year to get us here, and now we have a perfect storm:

Kathryn is now the official office goddess for Kate! I seriously can’t believe we didn’t put this together sooner. I suck at and dislike the administrative aspects of running a psychic business. I want to do readings and write blog entries, not manage all of the things that happen behind the scenes that make readings and blog entries possible.

Well Kathryn is AWESOME at all that administrative stuff, AND she’s amazing at organizing me into doing fundraisers, promotions, contests and experiments. With Kathryn’s help, we’re all going to have a lot more fun around here, *and* I’ll be getting through my reading list a lot faster. Those of you who’ve been waiting for a month now, you’ll be getting emails for your bookings in the next week or two! See, I can make those sorts of promises now.

I can’t remember if I’ve mentioned this already, but it’s so great it bears repeating: I’m scaling back to four days a week at the hospital during the slower winter months. (This also helps to keep my understudies trained and employed.) This means I’ll have one additional day a week to do readings! I’m really excited. Kathryn’s really excited!

And you know what? I am so happy to be in business with my partner again. I really missed having business meetings with her and creative brainstorming sessions! I loved that aspect of owning our own business, and I’m so happy to bring that element back into our lives!

I am *so* looking forward to 2014.
