Vet day!

We took Sunshine to the vet today, thank you everyone who participated in Sunshine’s fundraiser!

Her bloodwork turned up hyperthyroidism – which is great because we caught it early. The vet was surprised as her only symptom was weight loss, and he wasn’t concerned about it.

We’ll be switching her to a low iodine diet and re-testing her blood in a couple of months. Meanwhile, she is not a candidate for dentistry or any surgical procedure requiring anaesthesia.

She was such a brave girl!
